We are going to keep this simple because giving is just that simple to do and in the end can make a world of difference in others lives.

We initially met with the good people down at the Gateway Rescue Mission a few months back when we were in our research phase of how to put this all together.

We made a stunning discovery. Personal items (tooth brush, deoderant, toothpaste or any hygiene item) are highly valued by those who have nothing.

These items go a long way to help bring up others self-confidence and sense of worth.

Here is what we do:

• As we are couponing, there are invariably items that are “free” that we do not use, but others may be able to under the premise above
• We will purchase those items (not clearing the shelves mind you) and then put together a “goodie box”
• We simply take it to the shelter

While our part is small, when combined throughout the community, we can make a bigger ripple.
